Abstract
A lid for outfitting a container is provided. The lid includes a cover shell defining a first cavity, a first lid rim defining an opening, and a hinge member constructed to pivotally interconnect the first lid rim with the cover shell. The cover shell releasably lockable to the first lid rim.
Claims14
A lid for outfitting a container, the lid comprising:
- a cover shell defining a first cavity;
- wherein the cover shell includes a plateau shoulder and a downstanding lip;
- and
- wherein when the lid is in a closed position, the plateau shoulder and the downstanding lip form a cavity for receiving a portion of a dish therein;
- and surrounding an outer edge of a flange of the dish
- a first lid rim defining an opening;
- a hinge member constructed to pivotally interconnect the first lid rim with the cover shell;
- and
- the cover shell releasably lockable to the first lid rim.
