Abstract
A mixing baffle for mixing a fluid flow includes a longitudinal support structure and a first set of moveable mixing elements integrally molded with and extending from the longitudinal support structure. The first set of moveable mixing elements are molded in a first configuration and deform to a second configuration. The first set of moveable mixing elements may deform when the mixing baffle is inserted into a conduit. A static mixer for mixing a fluid includes a conduit and the mixing baffle inserted in the conduit.
Claims20
A mixing baffle for mixing a fluid flow, the mixing baffle comprising:
- a longitudinal support structure;
- a first set of moveable mixing elements extending from the longitudinal support structure;
- a second set of stationary mixing elements extending from the longitudinal support structure;
- and
- the longitudinal support structure, the first set of moveable mixing elements, and the second set of stationary mixing elements being structured and configured as a unitary molded member,
- wherein the first set of moveable mixing elements of the unitary molded member are configured and molded in a first configuration and are further configured to deform to a second configuration.
