## Abstract

The present invention relates to cells and methods for detecting compounds that affect G protein coupled receptor mediated conditions. The invention also relates to methods for treating adverse drug reactions, autoimmune disorders, and pruritus.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method for treating a subject suffering from a chronic itch condition, comprising: administering to the subject a small molecule MrgprX4 antagonist.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the chronic itch condition is pruritus.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the chronic itch condition is cholestatic pruritus.
