## Abstract

A method for generating a rebounding motion between a person and a surface includes the steps of providing a rebounding device, positioning the rear member against the surface and the front member adjacent to an upper body of the person and the surface, and applying pressure to the rebounding device through the upper body. The rebounding device includes front and rear members having front and rear widths spanning right front and rear side edges and left front and rear side edges and first and second spring mechanisms positioned between the front and rear members. The first and second spring mechanisms are positioned between the right front side edge of the front member and the right rear side edge of the rear member and between the left front side edge of the front member and the left rear side edge of the rear member, respectively.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method for generating a rebounding motion between a person and a surface comprising the steps of:
providing a rebounding device comprising:
a front member having a front width spanning a right front side edge and a left front side edge;
a rear member having a rear width spanning a right rear side edge and a left rear side edge; and
first and second spring mechanisms positioned between the front member and the rear member for allowing the front member and rear member to move toward and away from one another, the first spring mechanism positioned between the right front side edge of the front member and the right rear side edge of the rear member and the second spring mechanism positioned between the left front side edge of the front member and the left rear side edge of the rear member;
positioning the rear member against the surface and the front member adjacent to an upper body of the person and the surface;
applying pressure to the rebounding device through the upper body such that the upper body moves toward from the surface while a lower body of the person remains in place.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising the step of applying pressure to the rebounding device through the upper body to cause the upper body to repeatedly move toward and away from the stationary surface.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising the step of receiving a biasing force on the upper body from the front member of the rebounding device.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the step of applying pressure to the rebounding device through the upper body comprises the step of resting the upper body on the front member of the rebounding device such that the upper body moves toward the stationary surface while a lower body of the person remains in place.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising the step of inserting a reinforcing element onto the rebounding device.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The method of claim 5, wherein the reinforcing spring element is adjustable.

### Claim 7 (depends on 5)

The method of claim 5, wherein the reinforcing spring element is a spring element secured to an inner surface of the rear member.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising the step of inserting first and second reinforcing elements onto the first and second spring mechanisms, respectively.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising the step of positioning the spring mechanism on a further surface perpendicular to the surface before the step of positioning the rebounding device between the upper body of the person and the surface.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the surface comprises one of a wall, a headboard of a bed, a back of a chair, a tree, and a wheelchair.

### Claim 11

A method for generating a rebounding motion between a person and a surface comprising the steps of:
providing a rebounding device comprising:
a front member;
a rear member; and
a spring mechanism positioned between the front member and the rear member for allowing the front member and rear member to move toward and away from one another;
positioning the rear member against the surface and the front member adjacent to an upper body of the person and the surface;
compressing the front member of the rebounding device toward the surface using the upper body while a lower body of the person remains stationary.

### Claim 12 (depends on 11)

The method of claim 11, wherein the step of applying pressure through the upper body comprises the step of resting the upper body on the front member of the rebounding device such that the upper body moves toward the surface while a lower body of the person remains in place.

### Claim 13 (depends on 11)

The method of claim 11, further comprising the step of positioning the spring mechanism on a further surface perpendicular to the surface before the step of positioning the rebounding device between the upper body of the person and the surface.

### Claim 14 (depends on 11)

The method of claim 11, further comprising the step of inserting a reinforcing element onto the rebounding device.

### Claim 15 (depends on 14)

The method of claim 14, wherein the reinforcing spring element is adjustable.

### Claim 16 (depends on 14)

The method of claim 14, wherein the reinforcing spring element is a spring element secured to an inner surface of the rear member.

### Claim 17 (depends on 11)

The method of claim 11, further comprising the step of inserting first and second reinforcing elements onto the first and second spring mechanisms, respectively.

### Claim 18 (depends on 11)

The method of claim 11, wherein the surface comprises one of a wall, a headboard of a bed, a back of a chair, a tree, and a wheelchair.
