Abstract
The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of amorphous Selexipag from Selexipag crystalline salts using a solvent.
Claims9
A process for the preparation of Selexipag in an amorphous form, which comprises the following steps:
- a. dissolving Selexipag crystalline salt in a low boiling solvent having a boiling point less than or equal to a boiling point of hexane;
- b. optionally treating with a buffer;
- and
- c. removing the low boiling solvent to obtain Selexipag in the amorphous form.

A process for the preparation of Selexipag in an amorphous form, which comprises the following steps:
- providing Selixipag crystalline salt as a salt of a base selected from the group consisting of triethylamine, isopropylamine, tri n-butylamine, N-Methylmorpholine and diisopropylethylamine;
- dissolving the Selexipag crystalline salt in a solvent selected from the group consisting of methylenedichloride, diethylether, pentane, acetone, chloroform, hexane, methanol, and tetrahydrofuran;
- optionally treating with a buffer;
- and
- removing the solvent to obtain Selexipag in the amorphous form.
