Disclosed is an inhibitor of calcineurin of the setron family for use for treating hearing loss in a subject in need thereof.

Dependent claims

A method for treating sensorineural hearing loss in a subject affected with sensorineural hearing loss, comprising administering to said subject an inhibitor of calcineurin of the setron family selected from azasetron and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, wherein sensorineural hearing loss is idiopathic sensorineural hearing loss, noise-induced sensorineural hearing loss, age-related sensorineural hearing loss or ototoxic drug-induced sensorineural hearing loss.
