Abstract
A work tool or a wear member includes a working portion or a wear portion, and a shank extending from the working portion or the wear portion, defining a longitudinal axis, and a first lock receiving groove that defines an axis of rotation that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the shank.

A retaining system comprising:
- a lock including a drive portion, an axis of rotation, a radial direction, and a circumferential direction, and a shank locking portion comprising a skirt that is connected to the drive portion by a web, the skirt extending axially from the web toward the drive portion forming an annular cavity, defining at least one detent receiving aperture that is disposed in the annular cavity.
