Abstract
Provided is a method of modifying a blend of polycarbonate and acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene copolymer comprising adding composite particles to the blend, wherein the composite particles comprise (I) a partially crosslinked polyolefin core and (II) a full or partial shell comprising polymerized units of one or more vinyl monomer, and the resulting modified blend.
Claims10
A method of modifying a blend of polycarbonate and acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene copolymer comprising adding composite particles to the blend, wherein the composite particles comprise
- (I) a partially crosslinked polyolefin core, wherein the partially crosslinked polyolefin core has a gel fraction of 10% or higher and less than 100%;
- and
- (II) a full or partial shell comprising polymerized units of one or more vinyl monomer.
A compounded composition comprising polycarbonate, acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene copolymer, and composite particles, wherein the composite particles comprise
- (I) a partially crosslinked polyolefin core, wherein the partially crosslinked polyolefin core has a gel fraction of 10% or higher and less than 100%;
- and
- (II) a full or partial shell comprising polymerized units of one or more vinyl monomer.
