Abstract
A catalytic reactor according to an embodiment includes a catalytic unit including at least one catalyst having a honeycomb structure in which a plurality of passages extending in an axial direction are formed, a reactor housing accommodating the catalytic unit, and a seal plate sealing between an outer periphery of the catalytic unit and an inner periphery of the reactor housing. The seal plate seals between the outer periphery of the catalytic unit and the inner periphery of the reactor housing at an upstream end portion of the catalytic unit with respect to a flow of a fluid flowing in the reactor housing.
Claims14
A catalytic reactor, comprising:
- catalytic units, each including:
- one or more catalysts having a honeycomb structure including passages extending in an axial direction of the catalytic reactor;
- a reactor housing accommodating the catalytic units;
- and
- a seal plate that seals, at an upstream end with respect to a flow of a fluid flowing in the reactor housing, an outer periphery of one or more of the catalytic units and an inner periphery of the reactor housing,
- wherein each of the catalytic units includes a casing integrally holding the one or more catalysts,
- wherein two or more of the catalytic units are connected to each other, via the respective casing, in an upper-lower direction of the catalytic reactor, to form one or more connected bodies,
- wherein an upper end portion of each of the one or more connected bodies is fixed to the reactor housing via the seal plate, and a lower end portion of each of the one or more connected bodies is supported from below by a support member fixed to the reactor housing,
- wherein the casing of each of the catalytic units includes an upper flange portion along an upper side of a side surface portion of the respective casing,
- wherein a support ring for fixing the seal plate is attached to the inner periphery of the reactor housing, and
- wherein the seal plate is disposed on an upper surface of the support ring and an upper surface of the upper flange portion of the respective casing of the one or more of the catalytic units at the upper end portion of the one or more connected bodies.
