At least one computer memory storing instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, control a user equipment (UE) to perform operations in a wireless communication system, the operations comprising:
- receiving, by the UE from a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS)-synchronized UE, a first sidelink synchronization signal (SLSS) with SLSS ID equal to 0,
- selecting, by the UE, a SLSS ID for a second SLSS based on the received first SLSS;
- and
- transmitting, by the UE, the second SLSS,
- wherein, based on the GNSS-synchronized UE being out-of-coverage, the UE receives the first SLSS from the GNSS-synchronized UE on a first resource,
- wherein, based on the GNSS-synchronized UE being in-coverage, the UE receives the first SLSS from the GNSS-synchronized UE on a second resource, and
- wherein selecting the SLSS ID for the second SLSS based on the received first SLSS comprises:
- based on which of the first resource and the second resource is used by the UE to receive the first SLSS, the UE selects the SLSS ID for the second SLSS between (i) a first SLSS ID related to GNSS-synchronization propagation through out-of-coverage and (ii) a second SLSS ID related to GNSS-synchronization propagation through in-coverage.
