Abstract
A method for providing information about an object is proposed. The method contains determining a usage profile of the object based on a measurement performed by at least one sensor of the object and storing the usage profile. The usage profile can be compared with a standard profile of the object. Based on a result of the comparison information about a usage of the object can be provided. A corresponding object providing information is proposed.

A method for providing information about an object, the method comprising:
- determining a usage profile of the object based on a measurement performed by at least one sensor of the object and storing the usage profile;
- comparing the usage profile with a standard profile of the object, wherein the standard profile of the object includes a normal usage of the object for an objective evaluation of the usage of the object, the normal usage including values of the at least one sensor measured during a predetermined permissible usage of the object, wherein the standard profile comprises at least one threshold value for the at least one sensor of the object, wherein the at least one threshold value of the standard profile is continuously varied in response to continually evaluating the usage profile;
- and
- providing information about a usage of the object based on a result of the comparison,
- wherein in response to less than a predetermined percentage of measured sensor values exceeding the at least one threshold value, determining that the device was used according to the standard profile, and
- wherein in response to more than a predetermined percentage of measured sensor values exceeding the at least one threshold value, determining that the device was not used according to the standard profile.

- a sensor configured to measure a usage of the object and a memory to store corresponding measurement data;
- and
- circuitry configured to
- determine a usage profile of the object based on the measurement;
- compare the usage profile with a standard profile of the object, wherein the standard profile of the object includes a normal usage of the object for an objective evaluation of the usage of the object, the normal usage including values of the at least one sensor measured during a predetermined permissible usage of the object, wherein the standard profile comprises at least one threshold value for the at least one sensor of the object, wherein the at least one threshold value of the standard profile is continuously varied in response to continually evaluating the usage profile;
- and
- provide information about a usage of the object based on a comparison result,
- wherein in response to less than a predetermined percentage of measured sensor values exceeding the at least one threshold value, determine that the device was used according to the standard profile, and
- wherein in response to more than a predetermined percentage of measured sensor values exceeding the at least one threshold value, determine that the device was not used according to the standard profile.
