Aerial vehicle identification

A method comprising:

• receiving an indication indicating that a remote unit is part of an unauthorized aerial vehicle, wherein the indication is received in response to a determination that the remote unit is part of an unauthorized aerial vehicle, wherein receiving the indication indicating that the remote unit is part of the unauthorized aerial vehicle comprises receiving a time period after which the remote unit will be unauthorized in the cellular network, a remote unit identification that is part of the unauthorized aerial vehicle, a list of remote unit identifications that are part of the unauthorized aerial vehicle, a remote unit type that is part of the unauthorized aerial vehicle, or some combination thereof;
• and
• in response to receiving the indication, handling the remote unit based on predetermined rules.

An apparatus comprising:

• a receiver that receives an indication indicating that a remote unit is part of an unauthorized aerial vehicle, wherein the indication is received in response to a determination that the remote unit is part of an unauthorized aerial vehicle, wherein the receiver receiving the indication indicating that the remote unit is part of the unauthorized aerial vehicle comprises the receiver receiving a time period after which the remote unit will be unauthorized in the cellular network, a remote unit identification that is part of the unauthorized aerial vehicle, a list of remote unit identifications that are part of the unauthorized aerial vehicle, a remote unit type that is part of the unauthorized aerial vehicle, or some combination thereof;
• and
• a processor that, in response to receiving the indication, handles the remote unit based on predetermined rules.
