Abstract
The invention discloses a waitressing drone that brings drinks to people at the restaurant, and the orders are identified from the Facebook photo of the user, that the drone displays when making the delivery. The invention facilitates the interaction with humans and drones via the social network. With the invention, the order input time is greatly reduced for the consumer, and the consumer may move about while waiting for the order as the drone finds the consumer. Also importantly, the social nature of the drone allows for the sharing of drones among multiple human users. Further, the interfacing of the social human profile with non-human drone profiles allows for the continuous retraining and reprogramming of drones to meet more specific and individualistic user tasks, thereby liberating people from mundane manual labour.
Claims24
A shared drone, comprising:
- a processor;
- a non-transitory memory medium, storing a software program product that when executed by the processor enables the shared drone to perform an operation comprising:
- offering, via a server, control of the shared drone concurrently to a plurality of mobile applications;
- indicating concurrently to the plurality of mobile applications, via the server, an available service offered by the shared drone, wherein the available service includes vacuum cleaning;
- receiving, from the server, instructions sent via a Wi-Fi or cellular radio data connection from a given mobile application of the plurality of mobile applications to perform the available service;
- and
- delivering, as part of performing the available service, a delivery containing one or more of debris, dust, or cut crass directly to a stationary second garbage collection drone which receives and holds content of the delivery, and
- wherein the server maintains a device profile for the shared drone,
- wherein the device profile indicates the available service and a status of the shared drone to the plurality of mobile applications,
- wherein the server updates the plurality of mobile applications via corresponding Wi-Fi or cellular radio data connections when the status of the shared drone changes to indicate an updated location and an updated status, and
- wherein the shared drone is a drone configured to drive while performing the available service and the second drone is a stationary garbage collection drone configured to store the content and the shared drone and second drone are robots.

- and
- delivering, as part of performing the available service, a delivery containing one or more of debris, dust, or cut grass directly to a stationary second garbage collection drone which receives and holds content of the delivery, and
- wherein the server maintains a device profile for the shared drone,
- wherein the device profile indicates the available service and a status of the shared drone to the plurality of mobile applications,
- wherein the server updates the plurality of mobile applications via corresponding Wi-Fi or cellular radio data connections when the status of the shared drone changes to indicate an updated location and an updated status,
- wherein the shared drone is a drone configured to drive while performing the available service and the second drone is a stationary garbage collection drone configured to store the content and the shared drone and second drone are robots, and
- wherein the given mobile application displays a plurality of shared drones available as a list and on a map, showing where individual shared drones of the plurality of shared drones are located, and a time predicted for the individual shared drones to arrive or begin the available service for the given mobile application.
A shared drone, comprising:

- a non-transitory memory medium, storing a software program product that when executed by the processor enables the shared drone to perform an operation comprising:
- offering, via a server, control of the shared drone concurrently to a plurality of mobile applications;
- indicating concurrently to the plurality of mobile applications, via the server, an available service offered by the shared drone, wherein the available service includes vacuum cleaning;
- receiving, from the server, instructions sent via a Wi-Fi or cellular radio data connection from a given mobile application of the plurality of mobile applications to perform the available service,
- wherein in response to receiving the instructions a speed at which to perform the available services is determined via the server, and
- wherein the instructions indicate a map location in which the available service is to be performed;
- and
- delivering, as part of performing the available service, a delivery containing one or more of debris, dust, or cut grass directly to a stationary second garbage collection drone which receives and holds content of the delivery, and
- wherein the server maintains a device profile for the shared drone,
