Abstract
Systems and method for data collection in an industrial environment can include interpreting a plurality of sensor data values, each sensor operatively coupled to at least one of a plurality of components in the industrial environmental. In response to at least a portion of the plurality of sensor data values, determining a recognized pattern value and providing a system characterization value for the industrial system in response to the recognized pattern value.
Claims21
A method for data collection in an industrial environment comprising:
- interpreting a plurality of sensor data values in response to a sensed parameter group, the sensed parameter group comprising at least one sensor of a plurality of sensors that is operatively coupled to at least one of a plurality of components of the industrial environment;
- determining a recognized pattern value in response to at least a portion of the plurality of sensor data values, wherein the determining the recognized pattern value further comprises determining an off-nominal process condition in response to at least the portion of the plurality of sensor data values, and wherein the off-nominal process condition includes an indication of a below normal status;
- updating the sensed parameter group in response to the off-nominal process condition, wherein updating the sensed parameter group comprises updating sensor selection by enabling or disabling one or more portions of at least one multiplexer circuit or altering control lines of the at least one multiplexer circuit;
- and
- providing a system characterization value for the industrial environment in response to the recognized pattern value.
A system for data collection in an industrial environment comprising:
- an industrial system comprising a plurality of components, and a plurality of sensors each operatively coupled to at least one of the plurality of components;
- a sensor communication circuit structured to interpret a plurality of sensor data values in response to a sensed parameter group, wherein the sensed parameter group comprising at least one sensor of the plurality of sensors;
- a means for determining a recognized pattern value in response to at least a portion of the plurality of sensor data values, wherein the means for determining the recognized pattern value further comprises determining an off-nominal process condition in response to at least the portion of the plurality of sensor data values, wherein the sensor communication circuit is further structured to update the sensed parameter group in response to the off-nominal process condition, and wherein updating the sensed parameter group comprises updating sensor selection by changing at least one connection between one or more input data communication devices and one or more output data communication devices;
- and
- a means for providing a system characterization value for the industrial system in response to the recognized pattern value, wherein the off-nominal process condition comprises an indication of a below normal water feed availability, and wherein the updated sensed parameter group comprises at least one sensor that is at least one of a water level sensor, a humidity sensor, or an auxiliary water level sensor.
A method for data collection in an industrial environment comprising:
- interpreting a plurality of sensor data values in response to a sensed parameter group, the sensed parameter group comprising at least one sensor of a plurality of sensors;
- determining a recognized pattern value in response to at least a portion of the plurality of sensor data values, wherein the determining the recognized pattern value further comprises determining an off-nominal process condition in response to at least the portion of the plurality of sensor data values, and wherein the off-nominal process condition includes an indication of a below normal water feed availability;
- updating the sensed parameter group in response to the off-nominal process condition, wherein updating the sensed parameter group comprises updating sensor selection by enabling or disabling one or more portions of a data acquisition circuit;
- and
- providing a system characterization value for the industrial system environment in response to the recognized pattern value.
