Quick launcher user interface

A computing device comprising:

• a touchscreen display;
• a fingerprint sensor within a portion of the touchscreen display;
• a memory;
• and
• a processor coupled to the touchscreen display, the fingerprint sensor and the memory, and configured with processor-executable instructions to:
• authorize a user based on a fingerprint of a finger detected on a fingerprint sensor portion of a touchscreen display matching a fingerprint of an authorized user of the computing device;
• determine a selected application installed on the computing device from a selective engagement of the finger on the touchscreen display, based on a detected initial contact location on the touchscreen display, by a portion of the finger, outside the fingerprint sensor portion, wherein an application icon on the touchscreen display that is aligned with a direction extending from the fingerprint sensor portion toward the detected initial contact location provides an indication of a user selection of the application icon and identifies the selected application;
• and
• unlock the selected application in response to the selective engagement of the finger on the touchscreen display.

A non-transitory processor-readable medium having stored thereon processor-executable instructions configured to cause a processor of a computing device to perform operations comprising:

• authorizing a user based on a fingerprint of a finger detected on a fingerprint sensor portion of a touchscreen display matching a fingerprint of an authorized user of the computing device;
• determining a selected application installed on the computing device from a selective engagement of the finger on the touchscreen display, based on a detected initial contact location on the touchscreen display, by a portion of the finger, outside the fingerprint sensor portion, wherein an application icon on the touchscreen display that is aligned with a direction extending from the fingerprint sensor portion toward the detected initial contact location provides an indication of a user selection of the application icon and identifies the selected application;
• and
• unlocking the selected application in response to the selective engagement of the finger on the touchscreen display.

A computing device, comprising:

• a touchscreen display;
• means for authorizing a user based on a fingerprint of a finger detected on a fingerprint sensor portion of a touchscreen display matching a fingerprint of an authorized user of the computing device;
• means for determining a selected application installed on the computing device from a selective engagement of the finger on the touchscreen display, based on a detected initial contact location on the touchscreen display, by a portion of the finger, outside the fingerprint sensor portion, wherein an application icon on the touchscreen display that is aligned with a direction extending from the fingerprint sensor portion toward the detected initial contact location provides an indication of a user selection of the application icon and identifies the selected application;
• and
• means for unlocking the selected application in response to the selective engagement of the finger on the touchscreen display.
