Abstract
An electronic device including circuitry configured to perform control in a manner that a Physical Layer Convergence Protocol (PLCP) header format is selected from a plurality of PLCP header formats; and append the selected PLCP header to a physical layer packet for transmission.
Claims20
An electronic device comprising:
- circuitry configured to perform a method for selecting a Physical Layer Convergence Protocol (PLCP) header format from a plurality of PLCP header formats,
- wherein the method comprises:
- setting a first color information for identifying a first network to which the electronic device belongs in a signal field of a first PLCP header of the IEEE 802.11 standard;
- transmitting a first packet including the first color information to a first device belonging to the first network;
- detecting a portion of a second packet, the portion including only a subpart of the second packet that includes a second PLCP header;
- entering a carrier sense busy state based on the detected portion of the second packet;
- based on the second PLCP header, determining whether or not the detected portion of the second packet is received from the first network;
- in response to the detected portion of the second packet being determined to be from the first network, detecting a remaining portion of the second packet;
- and
- in response to the detected portion of the second packet being determined not to be from the first network, terminating reception of signals.

- based on the second PLCP header, determining whether or not the detected portion of the second packet is received from the first network;
- in response to the detected portion of the second packet being determined to be from the first network, detecting a remaining portion of the second packet;
- and
- in response to the detected portion of the second packet being determined not to be from the first network, terminating reception of signals.
