Intent based application fabric

A system comprising:

• one or more processors;
• and
• one or more computer-readable non-transitory storage media coupled to the one or more processors and comprising instructions operable when executed by the one or more processors to cause the system to:
• determine a first application for which to build a first application fabric;
• generate a first profile associated with the first application, wherein the first profile is provided to a plurality of edge routers that interface with a plurality of devices, and wherein the first profile enables discovery of one or more devices of the plurality of devices that support the first application;
• and
• build the first application fabric for the first application, wherein the first application fabric is operable to communicably connect one or more edge routers of the plurality of edge routers that are associated with the one or more devices of the plurality of devices that are discovered to support the first application.

One or more computer-readable non-transitory storage media embodying software that is operable when executed to:

• determine a first application for which to build a first application fabric;
• generate a first profile associated with the first application, wherein the first profile is provided to a plurality of edge routers that interface with a plurality of devices, and wherein the first profile enables discovery of one or more devices of the plurality of devices that support the first application;
• and
• build the first application fabric for the first application, wherein the first application fabric is operable to communicably connect one or more edge routers of the plurality of edge routers that are associated with the one or more devices of the plurality of devices that are discovered to support the first application.
