Closed-loop deployment of virtual functions and cloud infrastructure

A device, the device comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a memory coupled with the processor, the memory storing executable instructions that when executed by the processor, cause the processor to effectuate operations comprising:
• receiving metadata for deploying a virtual function on a cloud network;
• determining whether deployment of the virtual function is possible without conflicting with the metadata;
• based on the determination that the deployment of the virtual function is possible without conflicting with the metadata, designing a cloud plan or a transport plan;
• determining, based on the metadata, a network configuration to implement the cloud plan or the transport plan;
• and
• configuring the cloud network using the network configuration.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing executable instructions that when executed by a computing device cause said computing device to effectuate operations comprising:

• receiving metadata for deploying a virtual function on a cloud network;
• determining whether deployment of the virtual function is possible without conflicting with the metadata;
• based on the determination that the deployment of the virtual function is possible without conflicting with the metadata, designing a cloud plan or a transport plan;
• determining, based on the metadata, a network configuration to implement the cloud plan or the transport plan;
• and
• configuring the cloud network using the network configuration.
