Abstract
A display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a substrate, a display element layer on the substrate, an encapsulation layer on the display element layer to seal the display element layer, a polarizing layer on the encapsulation layer, a first protection layer on the substrate and spaced apart from the polarizing layer, and a second protection layer on the substrate and covering a portion of the first protection layer, wherein the first protection layer has a thickness that is greater than a thickness of the second protection layer.
Claims21
A display device comprising:
- a substrate;
- a display element layer on the substrate;
- an encapsulation layer on the display element layer to seal the display element layer;
- a first protection layer on the substrate and spaced apart from the encapsulation layer;
- and
- a second protection layer on the substrate and covering a portion of the first protection layer,
- wherein the first protection layer has a thickness that is greater than a thickness of the second protection layer, and
- wherein a bottom surface of the first protection layer is coplanar with a bottom surface of the second protection layer.
A display device comprising:
- a substrate;
- a display element layer on the substrate;
- an encapsulation layer on the display element layer to seal the display element layer;
- and
- a first protection layer on the substrate and spaced apart from the encapsulation layer in a direction that is orthogonal to a thickness direction of the display device.
A method of manufacturing a display device, comprising:
- forming a display element layer on a substrate;
- forming an encapsulation layer on the display element layer;
- forming a first protection layer, which is spaced apart from the encapsulation layer and has a first thickness, on the substrate;
- and
- forming a second protection layer, which is spaced apart from the encapsulation layer in a direction that is orthogonal to a thickness direction of the display device with the first protection layer therebetween, and which has a second thickness that is less than the first thickness.
