Abstract
The present invention relates to an organic electroluminescent device comprising a light-emitting layer B containing at least one host compound H of formula (I) wherein not more than two of the residues A1, A2, A3 and A4 are each N, X is O or S, and X′ is NRe, O or S. Further, the present invention refers to a method for generating light of a desired wavelength range by means of an organic electroluminescent device according to the present invention to which an electrical current is applied.
Claims16
An organic electroluminescent device comprising a light-emitting layer B containing at least one host compound H of formula (I):
- wherein:
- each of A1, A2, A3, and A4 is independently from another selected from the group consisting of CH and CRa;
- one of R5, R6, R7, and R8 and one of R′5, R′6, R′7, and R′8 are each a binding site to the optionally substituted C4-C6-(hetero)arylene residue comprising the residues A1, A2, A3, and A4, and each of the remaining residues R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R′1, R′2, R′3, R′4, R′5, R′6, R′7, and R′8 are;
- X is O or S;
- X′ is NRe, O, or S;
- and
- each of Ra and Re is selected from the group consisting of unsubstituted or substituted C6-C18-aryl, C1-C20-alkyl, C7-C19-alkaryl, C1-C20-heteroalkyl, and C3-C17-heteroaryl.
