Abstract
Systems and methods for automating a take-out ordering process. In an embodiment, menu data is imported from a restaurant Point-of-Sale (POS) system over at least one network. The menu data may comprise a plurality of menu items. A menu user interface is generated. The menu user interface may comprise one or more menu screens, which comprise a subset of one or more of the plurality of menu items. A selection of at least one menu item from the subset may be received from a user. Up-sell options can be determined and provided to the user. Once completed, an order is sent to the restaurant POS system over the at least one network. The order can comprise the selected menu item(s) and any of the up-sell options selected by the user.
Claims26
A system for automated take-out ordering, the system comprising:
- at least one hardware processor;
- and
- at least one executable software module that, when executed by the at least one hardware processor causes the system to,
- import menu data from a plurality of restaurant Point-of-Sale (POS) systems over at least one network, the menu data including a plurality of menu items received from each of the plurality of POS systems,
- generate a menu user interface for each order channel of a plurality of order channels through which orders are received, each menu user interface having one or more menu screens including a subset of one or more of the plurality of menu items based on the menu data, wherein the menu user interface for at least one of the plurality of channels comprises at least some different, additional, or fewer menu items relative to the menu user interface for the remainder of the plurality of order channels,
- receive a selection of at least one menu item from the subset of menu items over two or more order channels of the plurality of order channels, and
- send an order to the restaurant POS system for each of the two or more order channels over the at least one network, the order including the at least one menu item, wherein the plurality of order channels comprise a call center channel, an online channel, and a mobile device channel.
A method for automated take-out ordering, the method comprising, by at least one hardware processor:
- importing menu data from a plurality restaurant Point-of-Sale (POS) systems over at least one network, the menu data including a plurality of menu items received from the plurality of POS systems;
- generating a menu user interface for each order channel of a plurality of order channels through which orders are received, each menu user interface having one or more menu screens including a subset of one or more of the plurality of menu items based on the menu data, wherein the menu user interface for at least one of the plurality of channels comprises at least some different, additional, or fewer menu items relative to the menu user interface for the remainder of the plurality of order channels;
- receiving a selection of at least one menu item from the subset of menu items over two or more order channels of the plurality of order channels, wherein the plurality of order channels comprise a call center channel, an online channel, and a mobile device channel;
- and
- sending an order to the restaurant POS system for each of the two or more order channels over the at least one network, the order including the at least one menu item.
