Abstract
A vented and water control siding has improved drainage and integrated ventilation air space. An omnidirectional relief pattern, creating an omnidirectional ventilation and drainage plane, may be located between a front surface of the first siding panel and a back surface of the second siding panel. In certain embodiments, another omnidirectional ventilation and drainage plane is located between the siding panels and an internal layer.
Claims37
A vented and water control cladding system, comprising:
- a first exterior cladding panel;
- a second exterior cladding panel overlapping the first exterior cladding panel;
- and
- one or both of the first exterior cladding panel and the second exterior cladding panel:
- being of one-piece construction;
- having an omnidirectional relief pattern integral therewith, the omnidirectional relief pattern creating an omnidirectional ventilation and drainage plane, located between a front surface of the first exterior cladding panel and a back surface of the second exterior cladding panel;
- and
- being formed from cement-based or wood-based material.
A vented and water control cladding system, comprising:
- a first exterior cladding panel;
- a second exterior cladding panel overlapping the first exterior cladding panel;
- and
- a first ventilation and drainage plane located between (i) the first exterior cladding panel and an internal layer and (ii) the second exterior cladding panel and the internal layer;
- and
- a second ventilation and drainage plane located between the first exterior cladding panel and the second exterior cladding panel;
- one or both of the first exterior cladding panel and the second exterior cladding panel:
- being of one-piece construction;
- having a relief pattern integral therewith, the relief pattern forming the first ventilation and drainage plane and the second ventilation and drainage plane;
- and
- being formed from cement-based or wood-based material.
A ventilation and water control cladding system, comprising:
