Abstract
The invention provides methods and reagents for diagnosing breast cancer that are based on the detection of biomarkers in the circulating nucleic acids from a patient to be evaluated.
Claims5
A method of analyzing circulating free DNA in a patient sample to determine copy number of cell-free DNA present in the sample, comprising determining, in a sample that is blood, serum or plasma, the normalized copy number of
- a first cell-free DNA having a sequence, free of repetitive elements, that is unambiguously assigned to a first chromosomal region Hs8, start position 8304215 and end position 8351172 as determined by human genome build 37;
- a second cell-free DNA having a sequence, free of repetitive elements, that is unambiguously assigned to a second chromosomal region Hs1, start position 182086265 and end position 182099422 as determined by human genome build 37;
- or a third cell-free DNA having a sequence, free of repetitive elements, that is unambiguously assigned to a third chromosomal region Hs5, start position 60570005 and end position 60603234 as determined by human genome build 37.
