Abstract
Composition and methods for treating brain “plaques” and “tangles” in a patient or an animal wherein the method comprises administration of a therapeutically effective amount of a composition comprising Uncaria tomentosa extract and an oolong tea extract.

A composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of an Uncaria tomentosa extract for treating beta-amyloid containing plaques and tau protein containing tangles in a mammal and a therapeutically effective amount of an oolong tea extract for treating beta-amyloid containing plaques and tau protein containing tangles in a mammal, wherein the composition is formulated for oral administration, and wherein the composition contains 100-500 mg of the Uncaria tomentosa extract and 100-500 mg of the oolong tea extract.
