Insulated beverage container

A method of using a beverage container to hold and insulate a disposable cup that contains a beverage, the disposable cup having a rim and an inner annular surface below the rim, the method comprising:

• placing the disposable cup into a hold of a container body while the disposable cup contains the beverage so that the beverage is vacuum insulated in the hold, the container body having a top end and a bottom end and being elongate along an axis, the container body configured to stand on the bottom end, the container body comprising:
• a sidewall, the sidewall comprising an outer tubular sidewall and an inner tubular sidewall located radially inside the outer tubular sidewall;
• a bottom wall, the bottom wall comprising an outer bottom wall and an inner bottom wall;
• the hold formed by both of the bottom wall and the sidewall, the hold configured to accommodate the disposable cup;
• a lip on the top end, the lip defining an opening of the container body into the hold;
• and
• a vacuum chamber located radially between the inner tubular sidewall and the outer tubular sidewall and axially between the inner bottom wall and the outer bottom wall;
• mounting a cap on the top end of the container body while the disposable cup contains the beverage and is in the hold, the cap comprising an inner ring and an outer ring, the inner ring located radially inward of the outer ring, wherein mounting the cap on the top end of the container body further comprises:
• developing an annular seal against the inner annular surface below the rim of the disposable cup by the inner ring extending downward to engage the inner annular surface;
• and
• fixing the cap on the top end of the container body with the outer ring;
• and
• drinking the beverage using an outlet aperture in the cap while the disposable cup is located in the hold and the cap is mounted on the container body, the beverage flowing through the inner ring then through the outlet aperture.

A beverage container for holding a disposable cup that contains a beverage, the disposable cup having a rim and an inner annular surface, the beverage container comprising:

• a container body having a top end and a bottom end and being elongate along an axis, the container body configured to stand on the bottom end, the container body comprising:
• a sidewall, the sidewall comprising an outer tubular sidewall and an inner tubular sidewall located radially inward of the outer tubular sidewall;
• a bottom wall, the bottom wall comprising an outer bottom wall and an inner bottom wall;
• a hold formed by both of the bottom wall and the sidewall, the hold configured to accommodate the disposable cup;
• and
• a chamber located radially between the inner tubular sidewall and the outer tubular sidewall and axially between the inner bottom wall and the outer bottom wall, the chamber insulating the hold;
• and
• a cap comprising an inner ring and an outer ring, the inner ring located radially inward of the outer ring, the outer ring configured to mount the cap on the top end of the container body, the disposable cup radially and axially overlapping the chamber when the disposable cup is in the hold and the cap is mounted on the top end of the container body, the inner ring configured to extend downward into the disposable cup and develop an annular seal against the inner annular surface of the disposable cup when the disposable cup is in the hold and the cap is mounted on the top end of the container body, the cap comprising a ceiling and an outlet aperture extending through the ceiling to permit the beverage in the disposable cup to flow out through the cap.
