Determining capture instructions for drone photography based on images on a user device

A computer implemented method of operating a server device comprising:

• coupling, by the server device, to a user device and a drone device over a network using a network interface associated with the server device;
• receiving, from the user device, information identifying subject faces found in a collection of images stored at the user device;
• sending capture instructions to the drone device, the capture instructions including the information identifying the subject faces found in the collection of images stored at the user device;
• receiving, from the drone device, an image captured by the drone device based on the capture instructions;
• and
• sending, to the user device, the image.

A non-transitory computer readable medium storing program codes that when executed by a processor of a server device render the server device operable to:

• couple, by the server device, to a user device and a drone device over a network using a network interface associated with the server device;
• receive, from the user device, information identifying subject faces found in a collection of images stored at the user device;
• send capture instructions to the drone device, the capture instructions including the information identifying the subject faces found in the collection of images stored at the user device;
• receive, from the drone device, an image captured by the drone device based on the capture instructions;
• and
• send, to the user device, the image.
