Abstract
In some embodiments, a supervising electronic device manages communication restrictions of a supervised electronic device. In some embodiments, a supervised electronic device presents user interfaces that enforce one or more communication restrictions configured by a supervising electronic device when communicating with other users.
Claims81
A method comprising:
- at an electronic device in communication with a display device and one or more input devices:
- while a communication session that includes a first set of participants meets trusted participant criteria, wherein the trusted participant criteria is based on a trust level associated with participants in the first set of participants, allowing a user account associated with the electronic device to participate in the communication session;
- after the user account associated with the electronic device has participated in the communication session, detecting a change in participants in the communication session from a first set of participants to a second set of participants, wherein the second set of participants is different from the first set of participants;
- and
- after detecting the change in participants in the communication session from the first set of participants to the second set of participants, receiving a request to access the communication session;
- and
- in response to the request to access the communication session:
- in accordance with a determination that the second set of participants meets the trusted participant criteria, allowing the user account associated with the electronic device to participate in the communication session including providing access to content of the communication session;
- and
- in accordance with a determination that the second set of participants does not meet the trusted participant criteria, displaying a user interface that includes an indication that participation in the communication session is restricted and an indication of a reason that participation in the communication session is restricted while restricting the user account associated with the electronic device from participating in the communication session.
An electronic device, comprising:
- one or more processors;
- memory;
- and
- one or more programs, wherein the one or more programs are stored in the memory and configured to be executed by the one or more processors, the one or more programs including instructions for:
- while a communication session that includes a first set of participants meets trusted participant criteria, wherein the trusted participant criteria is based on a trust level associated with participants in the first set of participants, allowing a user account associated with the electronic device to participate in the communication session;
- after the user account associated with the electronic device has participated in the communication session, detecting a change in participants in the communication session from a first set of participants to a second set of participants, wherein the second set of participants is different from the first set of participants;
- and
- after detecting the change in participants in the communication session from the first set of participants to the second set of participants, receiving a request to access the communication session;
- and
- in response to the request to access the communication session:
- in accordance with a determination that the second set of participants meets the trusted participant criteria, allowing the user account associated with the electronic device to participate in the communication session including providing access to content of the communication session;
- and
- in accordance with a determination that the second set of participants does not meet the trusted participant criteria, displaying a user interface that includes an indication that participation in the communication session is restricted and an indication of a reason that participation in the communication session is restricted while restricting the user account associated with the electronic device from participating in the communication session.
A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing one or more programs, the one or more programs comprising instructions, which when executed by one or more processors of an electronic device, cause the electronic device to:
- while a communication session that includes a first set of participants meets trusted participant criteria, wherein the trusted participant criteria is based on a trust level associated with participants in the first set of participants, allow a user account associated with the electronic device to participate in the communication session;
- after the user account associated with the electronic device has participated in the communication session, detect a change in participants in the communication session from a first set of participants to a second set of participants, wherein the second set of participants is different from the first set of participants;
- and
- after detecting the change in participants in the communication session from the first set of participants to the second set of participants, receive a request to access the communication session;
- and
- in response to the request to access the communication session:
- in accordance with a determination that the second set of participants meets the trusted participant criteria, allow the user account associated with the electronic device to participate in the communication session including providing access to content of the communication session;
- and
- in accordance with a determination that the second set of participants does not meet the trusted participant criteria, display a user interface that includes an indication that participation in the communication session is restricted and an indication of a reason that participation in the communication session is restricted while restricting the user account associated with the electronic device from participating in the communication session.
