Abstract
Provided herein are Purine Compounds of Formula (I) or pharmaceutically acceptable salts, tautomers, isotopologues, or stereoisomers thereof, wherein R1, R2, and R3 are as defined herein, compositions comprising an effective amount of a Purine Compound, and methods for treating or preventing malaria comprising the administration of an effective amount of a Purine Compound.

A method of treating malaria, comprising administering to a subject having malaria an effective amount of (R)—N8-(3-chloro-5-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)-N2-cyclobutyl-9-(pyrrolidin-3-yl)-9H-purine-2,8-diamine, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, tautomer, isotopologue, or stereoisomer thereof.
