Bottoming cycle power system

A combined power system comprising:

• a primary power system comprising an internal combustion engine having a rotatable crankshaft, the engine operable to use fuel in a combustion process to deliver primary power to the engine crankshaft, the combustion process producing a flow of exhaust gas;
• and
• a bottoming cycle power system comprising:
• a turbine-generator comprising a turbo-expander and turbo-compressor disposed on a turbo-crankshaft, wherein:
• the turbo-expander is operable to rotate the turbo-crankshaft as the flow of exhaust gas from the combustion process passes through the turbo-expander, and
• the turbo-compressor is operable to compress the flow of exhaust gas after the exhaust gas passes through the turbo-expander;
• and
• an open cycle absorption chiller system comprising:
• an absorber section operable to receive the flow of exhaust gas from the turbo-expander and to mix the flow of exhaust gas with a first refrigerant solution within the absorber section, the first refrigerant solution operable to absorb water from the exhaust gas as the exhaust gas passes through the first refrigerant solution, and the absorber section operable to route the flow of exhaust gas to the turbo-compressor after the flow of exhaust gas has passed through the first refrigerant solution.

A recycled plastic processing system comprising an extruder, the extruder comprising:

• a hopper section operable to receive solid recyclable plastic material therein;
• an auger mechanism operable to receive the solid recyclable plastic material from the hopper section and to compress the solid recyclable plastic material therein;
• and
• an extruder heat exchanger system operable to receive a flow of exhaust gas from a combustion process, the extruder heat exchanger system operable to remove heat from the flow of exhaust gas and to melt the solid recyclable plastic material in the auger mechanism to provide a flow of molten recyclable plastic material as the solid recyclable plastic material passes through the auger mechanism and as the exhaust gas passes through the extruder heat exchanger system.
