Abstract
An object of this invention is to provide a simple method for producing sulfur tetrafluoride. The object is achieved by a method for producing sulfur tetrafluoride, comprising step A of reacting a fluorinated halogen compound with sulfur chloride, the fluorinated halogen compound being represented by formula: XFn, wherein X is chlorine, bromine, or iodine; and n is a natural number of 1 to 5.
Claims7
A method for producing sulfur tetrafluoride, comprising reacting a fluorinated halogen compound with sulfur chloride, wherein the fluorinated halogen compound is IF5, BrF3, or a combination thereof.
A deoxyfluorination method of a carbonyl compound or a hydroxyl-containing organic compound, the method comprising employing a composition comprising sulfur tetrafluoride and ICl for the deoxyfluorination of the carbonyl compound or the hydroxyl-containing compound.
