Abstract
Systems and methods have demonstrated the capability of rapidly cooling the contents of pods containing the ingredients for food and drinks.
Claims24
A system for producing frozen food or drink, the system comprising:
- a cylindrical pod;
- and
- a machine comprising:
- a refrigeration system with a condenser, a compressor, and an evaporator defining a recess sized to receive the cylindrical pod;
- a first motor operable to rotate a driveshaft, the driveshaft positionable at a first end of the recess;
- and
- a dispenser positioned at a second end of the recess, the dispenser operable to open the pod;
- wherein the cylindrical pod is longer than the recess of the evaporator such that, when disposed in the recess, the cylindrical pod extends out of the second end of the recess and is engaged with the dispenser.
