Abstract
Rigid foam-core construction underlayment is formed to have one broad side covered by a flexible substrate that carries a series of spaced-apart, discrete regions (such as islands or spaced lanes) of resin, each resin region carrying a respective field of male touch fastener elements extending away from the substrate and exposed for engagement, such as by fibers on an inner surface of exterior construction material, such as a roofing membrane.
Claims17
A fastening product comprising:
- a substrate having a side surface;
- and
- parallel resin lanes secured to the side surface, each resin lane comprising a resin base layer from which touch fastener elements integrally extend;
- wherein each resin base defines multiple bend points spaced apart along its length, the bend points comprising grooves extending laterally along a width of the resin base, such that at each bend point the resin base is of lesser thickness than a nominal thickness of the resin base between adjacent bend points.
