Abstract
Provided is a plated steel material which can be used for an automobile, a household appliance, a building material, and the like and, more specifically, to a zinc alloy plated steel material having excellent surface quality and corrosion resistance, and a method for manufacturing the same.
Claims3
A zinc alloy plated steel material having excellent surface quality and corrosion resistance, comprising:
- a base iron;
- a zinc alloy plating layer formed on the base iron, wherein the zinc alloy plating layer comprises, by weight, Mg:
- 0.5 to 3.5%, Al:
- 0.5 to 20.0%, Zn as a residual component, and inevitable impurities, and a Zn phase of a surface of the zinc alloy plating layer comprises 15 to 90 area %;
- an inhibition layer formed between the base iron and the zinc alloy plating layer, wherein the inhibition layer is formed of a Fe—Al based intermetallic compound;
- and
- a ternary alloy phase layer of Zn/MgZn2/Al formed directly on the inhibition layer, wherein the ternary alloy phase layer covers 30 to 90 area % of a surface of the inhibition layer and has a thickness of 2 μm or less.
