Abstract
A method and an apparatus for transmitting/receiving a downlink signal in a wireless communication system are provided. Carrier information about a second carrier that is different from a first carrier can be transmitted on the first carrier. Downlink data for UE can be transmitted on the second carrier based on the carrier information. The first carrier is a carrier having a synchronisation signal and a physical broadcast channel, and the second carrier can be a carrier without any synchronisation signals or physical broadcast channels. The first carrier can be operated on a single resource block in a guard frequency that is used in the wireless communication system.
Claims15
A method of receiving a downlink signal in narrowband Internet of things (NB-IoT) by a user equipment in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
- acquiring a first cell identifier through a first carrier that is a carrier on which an NB-IoT synchronization signal (nSS) and an NB-IoT physical broadcast channel (nPBCH) are received;
- receiving, through the first carrier, carrier information regarding a second carrier that is a carrier on which the nSS and the nPBCH are not received;
- and
- receiving downlink data for the user equipment on a downlink carrier of the second carrier based on the carrier information,
- wherein the first carrier operates in one first resource block (RB) within a guard band used in the wireless communication system and the second carrier operates in one second RB within a channel band used in the wireless communication system,
- wherein the carrier information includes indication information on whether the first cell identifier and a second cell identifier used for a cell specific reference signal (CRS) on the second carrier are the same, and
- wherein the number of antenna ports for the CRS is configured to either the same number as the number of antenna ports for a narrowband reference signal (NB-RS) or 4 based on the indication information.
A method of transmitting a downlink signal in narrowband Internet of things (NB-IoT) to a user equipment by a base station in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
- transmitting a first cell identifier through a first carrier that is a carrier on which an NB-IoT synchronization signal (nSS) and an NB-IoT physical broadcast channel (nPBCH) are transmitted;
- transmitting, through the first carrier, carrier information regarding a second carrier that is a carrier on which the nSS and the nPBCH are not transmitted;
- and
- transmitting downlink data for the user equipment on a downlink carrier of the second carrier based on the carrier information,
- wherein the first carrier operates in one first resource block (RB) within a guard band used in the wireless communication system and the second carrier operates in one second RB within a channel band used in the wireless communication system,
- wherein the carrier information includes indication information on whether the first cell identifier and a second cell identifier used for a cell specific reference signal (CRS) on the second carrier are the same, and
- wherein the number of antenna ports for the CRS is configured to either the same number as the number of antenna ports for a narrowband reference signal (NB-RS) or 4 based on the indication information.
A user equipment for receiving a downlink signal in narrowband Internet of things (NB-IoT) in a wireless communication system, the user equipment comprising,
- a receiver,
- a processor, and
- a computer memory that is operably connectable to the processor and that has stored thereon instructions which, when executed, cause the processor to perform operations comprising:
- acquiring, via the receiver, a first cell identifier through a first carrier that is a carrier on which an NB-IoT synchronization signal (nSS) and an NB-IoT physical broadcast channel (nPBCH) are received;
- receiving, via the receiver and the first carrier, carrier information regarding a second carrier that is a carrier on which the nSS and the nPBCH are not received;
- and
- receiving, via the receiver, downlink data for the user equipment on a downlink carrier of the second carrier based on the carrier information,
- wherein the first carrier operates in one first resource block (RB) within a guard band used in the wireless communication system and the second carrier operates in one second RB within a channel band used in the wireless communication system,
- wherein the carrier information includes indication information on whether the first cell identifier and a second cell identifier used for a cell specific reference signal (CRS) on the second carrier are the same, and
- wherein the number of antenna ports for the CRS is configured to either the same number as the number of antenna ports for a narrowband reference signal (NB-RS) or 4 based on the indication information.
