## Abstract

Embodiments of the present invention provide a communication method, an access network device, a core network device, and user equipment. One example method includes: sending, by a core network device, a handover request to an access network device, wherein the handover request comprises first information, and the first information comprises an identifier of allowed network slice selection assistance information (NSSAI); and sending, by the access network device, a handover request acknowledgement to the core network device.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A communication method, comprising:
receiving, by an access network device, downlink non-access stratum (NAS) signaling from a core network device, wherein the downlink NAS signaling comprises first information, and the first information comprises an identifier of allowed session management-network slice selection assistance information; and
storing, by the access network device, the first information.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The communication method according to claim 1, wherein
the first information further comprises information about a tracking area that user equipment is allowed to access.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The communication method according to claim 1, wherein the first information further comprises information about a tracking area that user equipment is not allowed to access.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The communication method according to claim 1, wherein the first information further comprises information about a public land mobile network that user equipment is allowed to access.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The communication method according to claim 1, wherein the session management-network slice selection assistance information comprises a slice/service type.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The communication method according to claim 5, wherein the session management-network slice selection assistance information further comprises a slice differentiator.

### Claim 7

An access network device, comprising:
a receiver, configured to receive downlink non-access stratum (NAS) signaling from a core network device, wherein the downlink NAS signaling comprises first information, and the first information comprises an identifier of allowed session management-network slice selection assistance information;
a non-transitory memory storage comprising instructions; and
one or more hardware processors in communication with the non-transitory memory storage, wherein the one or more hardware processors execute the instructions to store the first information.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The access network device according to claim 7, wherein
the first information further comprises information about a tracking area that user equipment is allowed to access.

### Claim 9 (depends on 7)

The access network device according to claim 7, wherein the first information further comprises information about a tracking area that user equipment is not allowed to access.

### Claim 10 (depends on 7)

The access network device according to claim 7, wherein the first information further comprises information about a public land mobile network that user equipment is allowed to access.

### Claim 11 (depends on 7)

The access network device according to claim 7, wherein the session management-network slice selection assistance information comprises a slice/service type.

### Claim 12 (depends on 11)

The access network device according to claim 11, wherein the allowed session management-network slice selection assistance information further comprises a slice differentiator.

### Claim 13

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing computer instructions, that when executed by one or more hardware processors, cause an access network device to perform operations comprising:
receiving downlink non-access stratum (NAS) signaling from a core network device, wherein the downlink NAS signaling comprises first information, and the first information comprises an identifier of allowed session management-network slice selection assistance information; and
storing the first information.

### Claim 14 (depends on 13)

The non-transitory computer-readable medium according to claim 13, wherein the first information further comprises information about a tracking area that user equipment is allowed to access.

### Claim 15 (depends on 13)

The non-transitory computer-readable medium according to claim 13, wherein the first information further comprises information about a tracking area that user equipment is not allowed to access.

### Claim 16 (depends on 13)

The non-transitory computer-readable medium according to claim 13, wherein the first information further comprises information about a public land mobile network that user equipment is allowed to access.

### Claim 17 (depends on 13)

The non-transitory computer-readable medium according to claim 13, wherein the allowed session management-network slice selection assistance information comprises a slice/service type.

### Claim 18 (depends on 17)

The non-transitory computer-readable medium according to claim 17, wherein the allowed session management-network slice selection assistance information further comprises a slice differentiator.
