## Abstract

A body support device includes a body attachment portion configured for attaching the body support device to a body of a user, a leg comprising an elongate member having an elongate body having a central longitudinal axis, the leg configured for coupling with the body attachment portion, the elongate member configured for hinged movement between extended and retracted positions, and a coupling interface for hingedly coupling the leg to the body attachment portion, such that the leg is configured for hinging between extended and retracted positions relative to the body attachment portion, wherein the coupling interface is configured for slidably releasable attachment with the at least one receiving channel on the body attachment portion.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A body support device, comprising:
a body attachment portion configured for attaching the body support device to a body of a user, wherein the body attachment portion has a first side and a second side, wherein the first side is configured for coupling with the body of the user and wherein the second side is configured for facing away from the body of the user, wherein the first side includes at least one receiving channel;
a leg comprising an elongate member having an elongate body having a central longitudinal axis, the leg configured for coupling with the body attachment portion, the elongate member configured for hinged movement between extended and retracted positions; and
a coupling interface for hingedly coupling the leg to the body attachment portion, such that the leg is configured for hinging between extended and retracted positions relative to the body attachment portion, wherein the coupling interface is configured for slidably releasable attachment with the at least one receiving channel on the body attachment portion.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The body support device of claim 1, wherein the coupling interface includes a first hinging portion and a second hinging portion.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The body support device of claim 1, wherein the second hinging portion is configured for pivotal movement relative to the first hinging portion.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The body support device of claim 3, wherein the second hinging portion is coupled to the elongate member, such that the elongate member is configured for hinging movement between extended and retracted positions.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The body support device of claim 1, wherein at least a portion of the first hinging portion is configured for slidably releasable attachment with the at least one receiving channel on the body attachment portion.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The body support device of claim 5, wherein the at least a portion of the first hinging portion is configured to be received within the at least one receiving channel on the body attachment portion.

### Claim 7 (depends on 6)

The body support device of claim 6, wherein the at least one receiving channel on the body attachment portion includes a locking mechanism to maintain the at least a portion of the first hinging portion within the at least one receiving channel on the body attachment portion.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The body support device of claim 7, wherein the locking mechanism is configured to engage when the at least a portion of the first hinging portion is fully received within the at least one receiving channel on the body attachment portion.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The body support device of claim 8, wherein the locking mechanism is configured to release when disengaged by the user.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

The body support device of claim 1, wherein the first hinging portion includes a first knuckle portion.

### Claim 11 (depends on 8)

The body support device of claim 8, wherein the second hinging portion includes a second knuckle portion.

### Claim 12 (depends on 9)

The body support device of claim 9, wherein the first and second knuckle portions are coupled by a hinge pin.

### Claim 13

A body support device, comprising:
a body attachment portion configured for attaching the body support device to a body of a user, wherein the body attachment portion has a first side and a second side, wherein the first side is configured for coupling with the body of the user and wherein the second side is configured for facing away from the body of the user, wherein the first side includes at least one receiving channel;
a leg comprising an elongate member having an elongate body having a central longitudinal axis, the leg configured for coupling with the body attachment portion, the elongate member configured for hinged movement between extended and retracted positions; and
a coupling interface for hingedly coupling the leg to the body attachment portion, such that the leg is configured for hinging between extended and retracted positions relative to the body attachment portion, wherein the coupling interface is configured for slidably releasable attachment with the at least one receiving channel on the body attachment portion, wherein the at least one receiving channel on the body attachment portion includes a locking mechanism configured to maintain the at least a portion of the coupling interface within the at least one receiving channel on the body attachment portion and to release the coupling interface from the at least one receiving channel when the locking mechanism is disengaged by the user.
