## Abstract

Mounting plates for elevating platforms, including a mounting apparatus with interior and exterior reinforcement components elongated vertically. The interior reinforcement piece includes an embedded bolt that extends from the interior reinforcement piece, through a wall of the platform, and through the exterior reinforcement component. The interior and exterior reinforcement components have a stepped construction to convert peel stress to shear stress.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A mounting apparatus for an elevating platform with at least one surface comprising:
at least one interior reinforcement component, at least one exterior reinforcement component, and at least one fastener;
wherein the at least one interior reinforcement component and the at least one exterior reinforcement component are positioned on an interior and an exterior of the at least one surface, respectively; and
wherein the at least one fastener extends through the at least one surface and through the at least one exterior reinforcement component on an outside of the platform.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The mounting apparatus of claim 1, wherein the at least one interior reinforcement component is vertically elongated.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The mounting apparatus of claim 1, wherein the at least one exterior reinforcement component is vertically elongated.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The mounting apparatus of claim 1, wherein the at least one interior reinforcement component includes a first subcomponent and a second subcomponent.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The mounting apparatus of claim 1, wherein the interior reinforcement component includes a protrusion that is constructed to receive and electrically insulate the at least one fastener.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The mounting apparatus of claim 1, wherein the at least one interior reinforcement component or the at least one exterior reinforcement component is constructed from fiber-reinforced thermosets, unreinforced thermosets, fiber-reinforced thermoplastics, unreinforced thermoplastics, filled thermoplastics, or filled thermosets.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The mounting apparatus of claim 1, wherein the at least one exterior reinforcement component is constructed with stepped layers.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The mounting apparatus of claim 1, wherein the at least one interior reinforcement component is constructed with stepped layers.

### Claim 9

A mounting apparatus for an elevating platform with at least one surface comprising:
at least one exterior reinforcement component and at least one fastener;
wherein the at least one exterior reinforcement component is positioned on an exterior of the at least one surface;
wherein the at least one exterior reinforcement component is constructed with a stepped shape; and
wherein the at least one fastener extends through the at least one exterior reinforcement component.

### Claim 10 (depends on 9)

The mounting apparatus of claim 9, wherein the at least one exterior reinforcement component is vertically elongated.

### Claim 11 (depends on 9)

The mounting apparatus of claim 9, wherein the stepped shape redirects peel stress into shear stress along the stepped shape.

### Claim 12 (depends on 9)

The mounting apparatus of claim 9, wherein layers of the stepped shape are a series of raised thicknesses that extend away from the at least one surface.

### Claim 13 (depends on 9)

The mounting apparatus of claim 9, wherein layers of the stepped shape are oblique toward a vertical midline of the platform.

### Claim 14 (depends on 9)

The mounting apparatus of claim 9, wherein the at least one exterior reinforcement component is constructed from fiber-reinforced thermosets, unreinforced thermosets, fiber-reinforced thermoplastics, unreinforced thermoplastics, filled thermoplastics, or filled thermosets.

### Claim 15 (depends on 9)

The mounting apparatus of claim 9, further comprising at least one interior reinforcement component.

### Claim 16

A mounting apparatus for an elevating platform with at least one surface comprising:
at least two interior reinforcement assemblies, at least two exterior reinforcement components, and fasteners;
wherein the at least two interior reinforcement assemblies are positioned on an interior of the at least one surface;
wherein the at least two exterior reinforcement components are positioned on an exterior of the at least one surface;
wherein each of the fasteners extend through the at least one surface and through one of the at least two exterior reinforcement components.

### Claim 17 (depends on 16)

The mounting apparatus of claim 16, wherein the at least two interior reinforcement assemblies each include a first subcomponent.

### Claim 18 (depends on 16)

The mounting apparatus of claim 16, wherein an end of at least one of the fasteners is encapsulated within at least one first interior reinforcement component.

### Claim 19 (depends on 16)

The mounting apparatus of claim 16, further comprising at least one protrusion, wherein the at least one protrusion extends from at least one of the at least two interior reinforcement assemblies, through the at least one surface, and to at least one of the at least two exterior reinforcement components, and wherein the at least one protrusion is constructed to receive and electrically insulate at least one of the fasteners.

### Claim 20 (depends on 16)

The mounting apparatus of claim 16, wherein the at least two interior reinforcement assemblies or the at least two exterior reinforcement components are constructed from fiber-reinforced thermosets, unreinforced thermosets, fiber-reinforced thermoplastics, unreinforced thermoplastics, filled thermoplastics, or filled thermosets.
