## Claims

### Claim 1

A method for making a polymer, the method comprising polymerizing glycidol to form the polymer, the polymer comprising repeating units selected from:
wherein R0 is selected from H, alkyl, NH2, and R1;
wherein R1 comprises a crosslinking functionality; and
wherein the ratio of (A1+A2):(B1+B2) is greater than 5.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein polymerizing glycidol is performed at a temperature ranging from −80° C. to 50° C.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising crosslinking the polymer with crosslinks.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The method of claim 3, wherein the crosslinks comprise one or more of
wherein at least one of
is not 0.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the ratio of (A1+A2):(B1+B2) is greater than 10.

### Claim 6

A method for making a polymer, the method comprising polymerizing glycidol to form the polymer, the polymer comprising at least one repeating unit formed from a monomer selected from:
or a combination thereof.

### Claim 7 (depends on 6)

The method of claim 6, wherein polymerizing glycidol is performed at a temperature ranging from −80° C. to 50° C.

### Claim 8 (depends on 6)

The method of claim 6, further comprising crosslinking the polymer with crosslinks.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The method of claim 8, wherein the crosslinks comprise one or more of:
wherein at least one of
