## Abstract

The present invention is directed to methods of improving heat stress tolerance in plants comprising applying an effective amount of 1-amino-1-cyclopropanecarboxylic acid to the plant.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method of improving heat stress tolerance in wheat plants comprising applying an effective amount of 1-amino-1-cyclopropanecarboxylic acid (ACC) to the wheat plant, wherein the ACC is applied to the wheat plant from Feekes stage 2 to Feekes stage 11.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the ACC is applied to the wheat plant at Feekes stage 5.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the ACC is applied to the wheat plant from Feekes stage 10.4 to Feekes stage 10.5.
