Abstract
A bottle assembly that includes a bottle with a finish having a mouth for containing an E-liquid. The mouth of the bottle is sealed with a plug having an anti-drip well. The anti-drip well sized to prevent inadvertent spillage of the E-liquid contained within the bottle. An annular cap protrusion of the plug can engage with a channel on an upper portion of the bottle to attach the plug with the upper portioned with the mouth of the bottle. A lower channel edge can include a notch that can be used as a wedge to incrementally remove the plug from the mouth of the bottle without damage thereto.
Claims16
A bottle assembly for containing and dispensing a liquid, comprising:
- a bottle configured to contain a volume of the liquid, the bottle including a bottle body and a finish, the finish including a mouth of the bottle, a top surface extending around the mouth, and a plug channel around an outer circumference of the finish adjacent to the mouth;
- a plug configured to seal the mouth of the bottle, the plug including:
- a nozzle having a well extending therethrough;
- a cap portion configured to contact the top surface of the bottle, the cap portion including an annular cap protrusion configured to sealingly engage within the plug channel of the finish;
- wherein an annular slot is formed between the annular cap protrusion and a lower channel edge of the plug channel;
- and
- wherein the lower channel edge includes a notch, the notch comprising a chamfered region.
A bottle assembly for containing and dispensing a liquid, comprising:
- a bottle configured to contain a volume of the liquid, the bottle including a bottle body and a finish, the finish including a mouth of the bottle, a plug channel extending around a circumference of the finish adjacent the mouth;
- an outer cap configured to assemble with the finish of the bottle;
- and
- a plug configured to seal the mouth of the bottle, the plug including:
- a nozzle having an anti-drip well extending therethrough;
- and
- a cap portion configured to sealingly engage with the finish of the bottle,
- the cap portion including an annular cap protrusion configured to sealingly engage within the plug channel;
- wherein the anti-drip well has a diameter of 1.2 mm and height of at least 12 mm;
- and
- wherein the cap portion of the plug includes an orifice aligned with the nozzle, the orifice extending through the cap portion and providing communication between the anti-drip well and the volume of liquid, the orifice having a diameter less than the diameter of the anti-drip well.
