Abstract
The present disclosure provides catalyst compounds including a nonsymmetric bridged amine bis(phenolate), catalyst systems including such, and uses thereof. Catalyst compounds, catalyst systems, and processes of the present disclosure can provide high comonomer content and high molecular weight polymers having narrow Mw/Mn values, contributing to good processability for the polymer itself and for the polymer used in a composition.

A catalyst compound represented by Formula (II):
- wherein:
- M is a Group 4 transition metal;
- each X1 and X2 is independently a substituted or unsubstituted linear, branched, cyclic, polycyclic, or aromatic hydrocarbyl;
- or X1 and X2 are joined together to form a C4-C62 cyclic, polycyclic, heterocyclic, or aromatic group;
- Q1 is a Group 15 atom;
- Q2 is a Group 15 atom or a Group 16 atom, wherein n is 0 when Q2 is a Group 16 atom or n is 1 when Q2 is a Group 15 atom;
- R1 is a substituted or unsubstituted linear, branched, cyclic, polycyclic, heterocyclic, or aromatic C1-C18 diyl;
- each R2 is independently a hydrogen, a substituted or unsubstituted linear, branched, cyclic, polycyclic, or aromatic C1-C40 hydrocarbyl, or a heteroatom-containing group;
- and
- each R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9, and R10 is independently a hydrogen, a halogen, a substituted or unsubstituted linear, branched, cyclic, polycyclic, or aromatic C1-C40 hydrocarbyl, or a heteroatom-containing group;
- or two or more adjacent R3-R10 groups are joined together to form a C4-C62 cyclic, polycyclic, heterocyclic, or aromatic group;
- L1 is
- and is not part of an aromatic ring;
- L2 is
- and is not part of an aromatic ring, wherein y is an integer of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10;
- each instance of R11 is independently a hydrogen, a halogen, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C40 hydrocarbyl, or a heteroatom-containing group;
- or two or more adjacent R11 groups are joined together to form a C4-C62 cyclic, polycyclic, or heterocyclic group that is not aromatic;
- and
- each instance of R12 is independently a hydrogen, a halogen, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C40 hydrocarbyl, or a heteroatom-containing group;
- or two or more adjacent R12 groups are joined together to form a C4-C62 cyclic, polycyclic, or heterocyclic group that is not aromatic.
