An immunogenic composition comprising a soluble Cedar virus (CedPV) glycoprotein selected from a soluble CedPV F glycoprotein, a soluble CedPV G glycoprotein, and a combination thereof, in an amount effective to produce an immune response in a human subject, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
