Methods and apparatus to detect boring media

An apparatus to detect boring media, the apparatus comprising:

• means for extracting a feature from at least one of a video feed or an audio feed of monitored media in response to a detection of an absence of an identifier in the monitored media;
• and
• means for processing the feature with a neural network, the means for executing to:
• compare an output of the neural network to a threshold to determine whether the monitored media is predicted to be boring media;
• and
• propagate a notification to a server in response to the monitored media being predicted not to be boring media.

A non-transitory computer readable storage medium comprising instructions that, when executed, cause a machine to at least:

• extract a feature from at least one of a video feed or an audio feed of monitored media in response to a detection of an absence of an identifier in the monitored media;
• process the feature with a neural network;
• compare an output of the neural network to a threshold to determine whether the monitored media is predicted to be boring media;
• and
• propagate a notification to a server in response to the monitored media being predicted not to be boring media.
