Electrical power delivery system with a support structure

A support structure for supporting multiple electrical energy storage devices that are cantilevered from a conductive plane, the support structure including:

• a first shell member having an inner side and defining multiple concave grooves spaced apart along a length of the inner side;
• and
• a second shell member having an inner side and defining multiple concave grooves spaced apart along a length of the inner side;
• wherein the first and second shell members are configured to couple to one another around the electrical energy storage devices such that the inner sides face each other, wherein, when the first and second shell members are coupled together, the first and second shell members are spaced apart from the conductive plane, the concave grooves of the first shell member engage and surround first perimeter segments of the electrical energy storage devices, and the concave grooves of the second shell member engage and surround second perimeter segments of the electrical energy storage devices, wherein the second perimeter segments are circumferentially spaced apart from the first perimeter segments.

An electrical power delivery system comprising:

• a chassis configured to be mounted to a vehicle;
• a conductive plane secured to the chassis;
• multiple electrical energy storage devices mounted to and electrically connected to the conductive plane, each of the electrical energy storage devices including a cylindrical body that extends a length from a proximal end, that faces the conductive plane, to a distal end opposite the proximal end, the electrical energy storage devices projecting from a common side of the conductive plane;
• and
• a support structure spaced apart from the conductive plane and secured to the chassis, the support structure engaging and at least partially surrounding an outer surface of the cylindrical body of each of the electrical energy storage devices at a respective portion of the cylindrical body that is between the proximal end and the distal end,
• wherein the support structure is configured to support a weight of the electrical energy storage devices and to reduce forces exerted on the electrical energy storage devices attributable to one or more of vibration, acceleration, or impact forces during travel of the vehicle relative to the electrical energy storage devices being connected directly to the chassis.
