Abstract
Social network initiated listings can be implemented by using keyword extraction of a social network post containing a sell code. The extracted keywords can be categorized using a machine based categorization system. The listing user account of the post creator can be identified using active session analysis. A listing is created using the listing user account. A new post that contains a URL to the listing is then programmatically published on the social network.
Claims14
A method, comprising:
- submitting to a social network platform through an application programming interface (API), a query requesting social network posts that include a sell code of an item;
- receiving a result to the query, wherein the result includes a social network post that includes the sell code;
- in response to receiving the result to the query:
- identifying the social network post as including the sell code;
- and
- extracting one or more keywords referencing the item;
- categorizing the item based on the extracted one or more keywords for a listing of the item;
- based on the sell code and categorizing the item, generating:
- the listing on the listing platform to sell the item;
- and
- a listing post on the social network platform referencing the generated listing on the listing platform.
A system, comprising:
- hardware processing circuitry;
- one or more hardware memories storing instructions that when executed configure the hardware processing circuitry to perform operations comprising:
- submitting to a social network platform through an application programming interface (API), a query requesting social network posts that include a sell code of an item;
- receiving a result to the query, wherein the result includes a social network post that includes the sell code;
- in response to receiving the result to the query:
- identifying the social network post as including the sell code;
- and
- extracting one or more keywords referencing the item;
- categorizing the item based on the extracted one or more keywords for a listing of the item;
- based on the sell code and categorizing the item, generating:
- the listing on the listing platform to sell the item;
- and
- a listing post on the social network platform referencing the generated listing on the listing platform.
A non-transitory computer readable storage medium comprising instructions that when executed configure hardware processing circuitry to perform operations comprising:
- submitting to a social network platform through an application programming interface (API), a query requesting social network posts that include a sell code of an item;
- receiving a result to the query, wherein the result includes a social network post that includes the sell code;
- in response to receiving the result to the query:
- identifying the social network post as including the sell code;
- and
- extracting one or more keywords referencing the item;
- categorizing the item based on the extracted one or more keywords for a listing of the item;
- based on the sell code and categorizing the item, generating:
- the listing on the listing platform to sell the item;
- and
- a listing post on the social network platform referencing the generated listing on the listing platform.
