High performance map editor for business analysts

A computer system, comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a computer-readable storage media coupled to the processor, wherein the computer-readable storage media contains program instructions executing a computer implemented method comprising:
• building, by the processor, a model synchronization map table configured to facilitate autonomous computer self-navigation between elements of business objects of a business object model and corresponding elements of an extensible markup language (XML) schema of an XML schema definition-based (XSD-based) model, wherein the XSD-based model is programmatically generated by transforming elements of the business objects into the corresponding elements of XML schema;
• displaying, by the processor, the business object model and the XSD-based model in a dual-view editor;
• independently editing, by the processor, the business object model and the XSD-based model in the dual-view editor;
• and
• automatically synchronizing, by the processor, independent edits made to the XSD-based model or the business object model within the dual-view editor by performing autonomous computer self-navigation using the model synchronization map table and the elements of the business objects of the business object model with the corresponding elements of the XML schema.

A computer program product comprising one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media having computer-readable program instructions stored on the one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media said program instructions executes a computer-implemented method comprising:

• building, by a processor, a model synchronization map table configured to facilitate autonomous computer self-navigation between elements of business objects of a business object model and corresponding elements of an extensible markup language (XML) schema of an XML schema definition-based (XSD-based) model, wherein the XSD-based model is programmatically generated by transforming elements of the business objects into the corresponding elements of XML schema;
• displaying, by the processor, the business object model and the XSD-based model in a dual-view editor;
• independently editing, by the processor, the business object model and the XSD-based model in the dual-view editor;
• and
• automatically synchronizing, by the processor, independent edits made to the XSD-based model or the business object model within the dual-view editor by performing autonomous computer self-navigation using the model synchronization map table and the elements of the business objects of the business object model with the corresponding elements of the XML schema.
