Search service system monitoring

A computing system of a data intake and query system, the computing system comprising:

• one or more processing devices coupled to memory and configured to:
• monitor one or more metrics of a search service system in association with one or more users of the search service system;
• receive a query associated with a user of the one or more users;
• instruct, based at least in part on the query, the search service system to process partial search results from at least one of:
• one or more internal data stores of the data intake and query system, wherein the one or more internal data stores store data as a plurality of events, or
• one or more external data stores storing data in a format that is different than a format of the data of the one or more internal data stores;
• receive search service system search results based at least in part on the partial search results processed by the search service system;
• determine a status of the user;
• determine that the one or more metrics satisfy a threshold metric based at least in part on the query and the status of the user;
• and
• cause a display to display an indication that the threshold metric is satisfied.

Non-transitory computer-readable media comprising computer-executable instructions that, when executed by a computing system of a data intake and query system, cause the computing system to:

• monitor one or more metrics of a search service system in association with one or more users of the search service system;
• receive a query associated with a user of the one or more users;
• instruct, based at least in part on the query, the search service system to process partial search results from at least one of:
• one or more internal data stores of the data intake and query system, wherein the one or more internal data stores store data as a plurality of events, or
• one or more external data stores storing data in a format that is different than a format of the data of the one or more internal data stores;
• receive search service system search results based at least in part on the partial search results processed by the search service system;
• determine a status of the user;
• determine that the one or more metrics satisfy a threshold metric based at least in part on the query and the status of the user;
• and
• cause a display to display an indication that the threshold metric is satisfied.
