Abstract
There is provided a sponge cleaning roller for cleaning an electrophotographic printing drum, the sponge of the cleaning roller having a Shore 00 hardness of about 9 or greater and a porosity of about 38 ppi or greater.

An electrophotographic printing apparatus comprising:
- an electrophotographic printing drum;
- and
- a sponge cleaning roller, the sponge of the sponge cleaning roller contactable with the electrophotographic printing drum during printing and having a Shore 00 hardness of about 9 to about 100 and a porosity of about 38 ppi to about 90 ppi.
A method of cleaning an electrophotographic printing drum, the method comprising contacting a sponge of a sponge cleaning roller with an electrophotographic printing drum during printing, the sponge of the cleaning roller having a Shore 00 hardness of about 9 to about 100 and a porosity of about 38 ppi to about 90 ppi.
A sponge cleaning roller for cleaning an electrophotographic printing drum, the sponge of the sponge cleaning roller including a reticulated polymer foam and having a Shore 00 hardness of about 9 to about 100 and a porosity of about 38 ppi to about 90 ppi.
