Abstract
The present disclosure discloses polynucleotide sequences that can be used to regulate gene expression in plants. Terminator sequences from Sorghum bicolor and Oryza sativa that are functional in plants are disclosed. Nucleic acid molecules, recombinant expression constructs, plants and seed comprising these terminator sequences are further disclosed.
Claims22
A recombinant DNA construct comprising SEQ ID NO:
- 3 wherein SEQ ID NO:
- 3 functions as a transcriptional terminator in a plant cell, and is operably linked to a heterologous polynucleotide sequence.
A plant stably transformed with a recombinant DNA construct comprising a terminator element of SEQ ID NO:
- 3 operably linked to a heterologous nucleic acid in the genome of the plant.
A method of modifying the expression of an endogenous gene of a plant, the method comprising introducing a terminator element of SEQ ID NO:
- 3 such that the introduced terminator element is operably linked to the endogenous gene to modify the expression of the endogenous gene.
