Provided are novel treprostinil salts as well as methods for making treprostinil salts.
Claims15
A method of preparing a potassium salt of treprostinil comprising:
- reacting treprostinil with potassium hydroxide in a solution comprising ethanol and ethyl acetate to form the potassium salt of treprostinil, wherein a volume ratio of ethanol:ethyl acetate in the solution ranges from 1:25 to 1:5.
